The Greene County Lamb Producers will host their annual banquet Saturday, March 10, at Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds in Jefferson. The meal will be served at 6:30 pm, followed by a program and a fundraising auction.
The family-friendly event is a highlight of the year as the Lamb Producers raise funds to help support 4-H members and Greene County youngsters.
The Community Barn Project has involved youngsters and their families in lamb production who would normally not have the opportunity due to their lack of facilities and/or residence. It has been a big success and fostered good will while providing educational opportunities for “city” kids.
All are welcome and invited to attend the banquet. Tickets will be sold at the door or they are available from Randy Hedges, Steve Karber, Kevin Lentz, Bill Taggart, Eldo Walker or Dave Wolf.
